Slate is full natural stone. It has natural layers and uncut edges. Featherstone is similar to slate but a lighter weight alternative. It has the first layers of real slate backed onto a rubber and foam backing. Its almost like a slate stamp. It looks and feels like slate to the touch, but it is about a quarter of the weight.
Marble, granite, and travertine are all natural unpolished stones. They do not have the same texture as slate, there are barely any layers or texture. Marble will have natural veining run through it.

It is 65 pounds without water, fully assembled - with water it will be heavier.

Does the water flow on one or both sides?

The water will only flow on the front surface of the fountain, it is 100% made in the USA and it will ship from our production warehouse in Utah.

Is there a water additive to keep the water to equally cover the mirror?

There is no additive needed, the mirror is designed and engineered so that the water will automatically bond to the entire surface so that when the fountain is in operation the water will equally cover the surface
